CSRF: The meeting on June 10 began with the usual coffee and biscuits and general up-date between members. The chairman opened the meeting and a discussion was held regarding Christmas arrangements. A show of hands decided that Christmas lunch will be at the Round of Gras on January 13 and the Christmas social morning will be at Evesham Library on December 9. Mrs J Wenham, who is the youngest chairman of Bredon Parish Council, has taken on this task in the face of caring for her young family, running her business, Playzone, and being a governor of Bredon Hancock's First School. In the previous parish council Mrs Wenham worked tirelessly to raise funds for the children's play area on Bredon playing field, and was famous for a painful sponsored walk around Bredon Hill.   more...

AT a recent meeting of the parish council, the chairman and clerk gave a brief overview of a meeting that they had attended in Woodstock regarding the formation of an A44 Working Group and its aims. This parish is not the only one seriously affected by heavy lorry traffic and a disregard of speed limits. It was decided to pool resources in order to more effectively put pressure on the various governmental bodies.   more...
